Pitchfork has the only scoop?

Not sure what is going on today but it seems that Pitchfork has gotten hold of the dates for the rest of Radiohead’s North American tour!

I can’t find any confirmation on AtEase or on Dead Air Space but I’m sure that will be coming soon.

August 6th – Montreal, Quebec w/ Grizzly Bear @ Parc Jean-Drapeau

August 15th – Toronto, Ontario w/ Grizzly Bear @ Molson Amphitheatre

August 19th – Vancouver, British Columbia w/ Liars @ Thunderbird Stadium

Not sure how they ended up going to Montreal and Toronto more than a week apart. Must be the scheduling limitations of the venues. Too bad the Montreal show is on a Wednesday night. Makes it more difficult for those of us coming from outside of Montreal. Fingers crossed I can get a ticket!

UPDATE: Confirmation has appeared on Dead Air Space and on At Ease.

Wherefore art thou Radiohead?

We are still anxiously awaiting details regarding the dates for the second half of Radiohead’s North American tour.

I’ve been obsessively checking my sources and will let you know as soon as I find out any information!

UPDATE: So rumour has it that Colin Greenwood was referring to Monday, April 7th rather than Monday, March 31st…. <sigh>

Stay tuned!

Radiohead tour details on Monday!!

I’m so excited!  According to Colin Greenwood Radiohead will be releasing more details about the second half of their tour in North America this coming Monday!  <insert happy dance here!>

Here is a taste of a live performance to get you in the mood…

Apparently Thom Yorke has been listening to an electronic band called Autechre.  Head over to their MySpace page and have a listen.

Pitchfork (my fabulous source!) had a chat with Colin Greenwood which you can check out here.

More Radiohead gossip…

For those of us who are anxiously (and impatiently) waiting for word on an August concert date here is a little tidbit to tide you over.

Rumour has it that a UK band called Underworld will be opening for the August portion of the Radiohead tour.

Founded by Rick Smith & Karl Hyde, Underworld has been compared to the likes of Orbital and the Chemical Brothers. Underworld has been around since the 80’s and currently includes Darren Price. In October 2007 they released an album called “Oblivion with Bells”. You can check out the first single, Crocodile, on their MySpace page.
