There once was a girl from Ottawa
She plays guitar a lottawa
The Weathermakers will play
on a Saturday in May
8pm at the Bytowne Tavern… awa…
Okay, so my limerick skills are rusty but I’m a blogger, not a limerick writer.
Head out to the Bytowne Tavern (292 Elgin St.) if you’re in Ottawa Saturday, May 31st.
They are playing with Shanker + Romps as well as the headlining band Hollowtip Hearts who will be releasing their CD that night. Show starts at 8pm!

There was a capital girl from a far
She liked to play the guitar
But on a Saturday in May,
She’ll watch The Weathermakers play
So join her at 8 at the bar.
or
There was a girl we consider a mate
Rumour was she’s strumming of late
But come Saturday in May
She’ll watch The Weathermakers play
At the Bytown starting at 8.

I can always count on you to make my limerick skills look bad. Must have been that creative writing course back in highschool…

It’s in the genes – Dad sends out a poem/rhyming ramble every week to his friends.
